Ethics Policy

The Journal of Recent Innovations in Computer Science and Technology (JRICST) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics. The journal strictly follows the guidelines and core practices of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) to ensure integrity, transparency, and responsibility in scholarly publishing.

1. Conflict of Interest Policy

  • All authors must disclose any financial or personal relationships that could be viewed as influencing their research.

  • Reviewers must declare any conflicts of interest and decline to review manuscripts where such conflicts exist.

  • Editors will avoid handling manuscripts where they may have a conflict of interest.

2. Ethical Approval for Human and Animal Studies

  • Manuscripts reporting research involving human participants must confirm compliance with the Declaration of Helsinki and approval by a recognized ethics committee. Informed consent from all participants must be obtained.

  • Studies involving animals must comply with internationally accepted guidelines for animal care and use and must have prior approval from an institutional ethics committee.

  • Authors must clearly state in their manuscript that appropriate ethical approval was secured.

3. Retraction and Correction Policy

  • Retraction: Articles will be retracted in cases of plagiarism, fraudulent data, duplicate publication, or serious ethical violations. A retraction notice will remain permanently accessible and linked to the original article.

  • Correction (Erratum): If minor errors are detected post-publication that do not affect the overall validity of the article, a correction notice will be issued.

  • Withdrawal: Manuscripts may be withdrawn before publication if major ethical or technical issues are identified.

4. Plagiarism and Research Misconduct

  • All submissions are checked for plagiarism using reliable similarity detection software.

  • Any instance of plagiarism, data falsification, image manipulation, duplicate submission, or unethical research will lead to rejection or retraction of the article.

5. Responsibilities of Authors, Reviewers, and Editors

  • Authors must submit only original work, provide accurate data, acknowledge all sources, and follow ethical standards for research and reporting.

  • Reviewers are expected to provide constructive, fair, and timely reviews while maintaining confidentiality and declaring conflicts of interest.

  • Editors are responsible for ensuring a fair, unbiased, and transparent peer-review process and for making publication decisions based solely on academic merit.
