Plagiarism Screening Policy

The Journal of Recent Innovations in Computer Science and Technology (JRICST) is dedicated to publishing original and high-quality research. To maintain academic integrity, every manuscript is screened for plagiarism using Turnitin plagiarism detection software.

Policy on Similarity Index

Similarity Index Editorial Decision
Above 30% The manuscript is rejected outright due to excessive plagiarism.
10% – 30% The manuscript is returned to the author(s) for revision. Authors must carefully revise the article, add proper citations, and rewrite outsourced text in their own words. After revision, the article must be resubmitted with a new Turnitin report showing NO plagiarism and similarity below 10%.
Below 10% The manuscript is accepted (subject to peer review). Authors may still be asked to improve citations where necessary.

Additional Notes

  • Self-plagiarism, duplicate submissions, and redundant publications are strictly prohibited.

  • All cases of suspected plagiarism are handled in accordance with the COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines.

  • Articles not meeting the plagiarism criteria will not proceed to peer review.

This policy ensures that only authentic, well-cited, and ethically sound research is published in JRICST.
